The paper account mutates only after you author and confirm an exact action; an altered or repeated confirmation fails closed. There is no autonomous path and no live-order path in this release — that same confirmation gate is the seam where a future real-money agent would plug in.
Your Data Stays On-Device
Algoagent Core runs locally on keyless public market data. If you sign in with an LLM provider or paste a research API key, it stays on your Mac — never relayed through us, no telemetry. Broker and exchange credentials are not collected in this release.

Stress-test any idea with simulated capital and realistic fills. You confirm each paper action with an exact, one-time confirmation; altered or repeated confirmations fail closed. Learn a strategy's drawdowns with fake money first.
Safety Cages, On By Default
The local simulator enforces a kill switch, daily-loss limit, position and trade-count caps, sizing limits, venue physics, fees, and adverse slippage. These same risk gates are the blueprint for live execution if and when it ships.

What's roadmap, not in 0.8.0
This release is research plus paper simulation. The items below are the direction — stated here so neither the marketing nor the legal docs ever over-promise the build you download.
- Real-money order execution. Any future live order would require your explicit approval; there is no live path today.
- Broker / exchange API keys (BYOK). When live execution lands, your keys stay on-device and we never custody them.
- Equity connectors. 0.8.0 research uses public crypto (CoinDCX INR) data; equities are planned.
- Autonomous strategies. By design, the AI never trades without you — now or later.
